Privacy policy
Short, because this website collects nothing. Last updated 12 January 2026.
What this website collects
Nothing. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no embedded videos or maps, no social media buttons and no fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else's servers. Every file this site uses is served from this site.
That means we cannot tell you how many people visited this page, because we genuinely do not know.
The contact form
The contact form does not send anything anywhere on its own. When you press the button, it assembles what you typed into a message and opens it in your own email app, where you can read it, change it, or close it without sending.
Nothing you type is transmitted to us, or to anyone else, unless you then choose to send that email yourself. Nothing is stored in your browser and nothing is logged.
What we hold once you email us
When you do email us, we hold your message in our email account, which is a normal business email service. That will include your name, your email address, and whatever you told us about your bike.
If you then book a bike in, we write a job sheet. That has your name, your email address, the bike and what we did to it. We keep job sheets because they are genuinely useful, a bike that comes back in two years is much easier to work on when we can see what we did last time and what the chain measured.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted within twelve months.
Job sheets are kept for three years after the last time we saw the bike. Records of what we charged are kept for six years, because that is what we are required to do for tax purposes.
Who else sees it
Nobody. We do not sell, share, rent or pass on your details to anyone. We do not send marketing of any kind. If we email you it is because you asked us something, or because your bike is ready, or because we need to tell you a price has changed.
The only third parties involved at all are our email provider and our accountant, and both only in the ordinary way any small business uses them.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@crahift.com and we will do it within thirty days, usually the same week.
Deleting everything is fine and has no downside except that if you come back in two years we will be starting from scratch on your bike.
Changes to this policy
If this changes we will update the date at the top. Given the site collects nothing, we do not expect it to change often.
Asking us about any of this
Email hello@crahift.com. A real person reads it.
